A Dream of a Horse and a Girl
In the sculpture, "A Dream of a Horse and a Girl", I wanted to make the figures of the girl and horse especially fine. They are my two favourite things. I have liked horses since I was little. When my dad working as security for a home furnishings company, the company kept a horse on site. Although it was very old, I remember it being quite beautiful. I was very attached to that horse, sometimes I would hang about the stable with the horse for a whole afternoon, looking at it's form, it's every aspect was full of kindness and beauty. Its curves and lines were so perfect, so powerful. I thought that horses were much more handsome than men. They are full of intricate details; humans are far less attractive. Take me for example, a tub of lard, you can't see the sculptured details of muscle. Chinese sculptors have never been able to capture the horse accurately; of those that make horses very few do so well. It's not just that modern sculpture gone all commercial, it can barely be discussed in the same breath as art! It's all become rushed off civic sculpture - conceptual and lifeless.
I wanted to break with the "traditions" of the "older generation" of the horse's head proudly rearing, of those grand poses wher the horse's front legs strike out high above its chest. I have never in my life seen a horse that can do that. It's a load of nonsense. And yet when they see my horse doing the young girl they say the same thing about it. I was inspired by a scene in a pornographic tape, it was acted by a Russian, zoophilia - human and animal sex. In that tape there is a scene wher a woman is doing it with a horse, her legs have trapped the horse's penis and she is moaning and caressing it constantly. She looks such a slut, as if her cunt was dripping wet, as if she's having her eightieth orgasm, really hot. The horse is quite calm, but in the end the stimulation makes the horse ejaculate, the horse lets out a few neighs, it's dick going in and out of the young girl's legs, mistaking it for a cunt, it is the horse that is fooled. People are more interested in the sexy girl, but the girl is only being sexy to the camera, she is not moved in her heart. The horse was being standoffish before the camera, but under certain stimulation/provocation he was really and truly touched. He shot a great big load. People only know how to put on a show; they always love to put on a show.
